ASUS ProArt B850-CREATOR WiFi 7 NEO AM5 ATX Placa base

Great mother board with loads of features. I was having post issues after my build and it boiled down to the 2 GPU setup I was running. After removing the second gpu I was able to post and get everything setup allowing me to install the second gpu. I'm only on day 2 with this setup so time will tell but I am happy with it so far. The box also came with a nice black cloth bag that appears to be of excellent quality. This bag has replaced my crown Royale dice bag for my TTRPG kit.

Overall an okay motherboard with a few strengths and a few weaknesses. I bought this to replace a cheaper Gigabyte board with a B650 chipset to get 2 x8 PCIe slots. I chose the Asus for the number of PCIe & M.2 slots and also the back panel layout with multiple usb type C connectors. As I moved my components from the less expensive Gigabyte, I was surprised by the mediocre quality of the higher end Asus. It’s not bad, but the Gigabyte is better. A few examples: Poor locking mechanism for the M.2 slots. These are just plastic tabs that have small bumps that lock the M.2 drive in place. The two main M.2 slots with heat sinks are just OK, but the 3rd, which doesn’t even come with a heat sink, has a really, really cheap plastic locking tab. Once the drive is in place, it is loose. Also, Asus put this 3rd M.2 slot right behind the 2nd GPU slot, preventing the use of any larger heat sinks. The

This board has me so much trouble, memory training issues, blue screens, the WiFi, Ethernet, drivers. Won't load Ubuntu or Debian out of the box, I ended up having to load windows and reflash the bios twice. Technically it has more pcie bandwidth than the x870e due to the usb4 that comes on those boards. It runs three 5060ti16gb if you also use m.2 conversion. Lots of customization in the bios for OC, but be prepared to fight it the whole way. Stay away if this is your first build.
